Scaling Cybersecurity Documentation Localization for Palo Alto Networks

Project Overview

  • 390,000 — Words translated per language by June 2022

  • 100K-500K — Annual words per language

  • 95% — Existing translation-memory coverage

  • 27,000 — Words per language requiring repair

  • 4 — Target languages supported

Who is our client?

Palo Alto Networks is a global cybersecurity company whose platform supports secure digital transformation through technologies such as advanced threat protection, firewalls, intrusion prevention and URL filtering.

Its worldwide customer base creates an ongoing need for accurate product guidance and technical information in multiple Asian languages.

What was the challenge?

The client needed to process large annual volumes under tight schedules while maintaining the precision expected in cybersecurity documentation. One PAN-OS administrator guide arrived with 95% of its content apparently matched in translation memory, but conversion and tagging problems left roughly 27,000 words per language requiring repair.

The broader program also involved many small files, dense terminology and annual volumes between 100,000 and 500,000 words per language. Consistency and deadline control had to remain reliable regardless of workload.

What was our solution?

Textsprime assembled an experienced technical team and trained linguists against the client’s instructions and style guide before production. Project managers matched files with qualified translators, balanced volume across the team and served as the communication bridge for rapid issue resolution.

Terminology and translation memory were reviewed before work began, while project progress was monitored continuously so resource levels could be adjusted when schedules tightened. Translation, editing, proofreading and DTP were coordinated within SDL Trados and Memsource workflows.

What were the results?

Since the partnership began in 2016, projects have been delivered on schedule with stable linguistic and technical quality. By June 2022, translated volume had reached approximately 390,000 words per language.

Following successful delivery in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese, the client expanded the program to Korean, giving Palo Alto Networks a consistent localization framework across four target languages.
